Alyssa Brown is researching Pong and Pong variants, specifically how advertising these machines required a variety of "personalities" to be manufactured and marketed. An often unchanging, repetitive premise of gameplay resulted in unique cabinets, flyers, and titles.
Alyssa Brown is a Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the UVA School of Data Science where she runs social media, photographs events, students, and faculty, and writes articles for the School of Data Science's website. She loves robots, science fiction, going to the movie theatre, and her favorite book series of all time is The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells.
