Sandy Hausman is the Charlottesville Bureau Chief for Virginia Public Radio – a network of public stations around the Commonwealth. She also occasionally contributes to NPR programs. She came to Virginia from Chicago, where she was news director for NBC's FM radio station, an afternoon anchor for the all-news station (WBBM), and a field producer for ABC TV. She ran her own production company for a decade, producing videos for the American Medical Association and other clients.
