Gamer Trouble: Feminist Confrontations in Digital Culture with Amanda Phillips

Amanda Phillips, Associate Professor of English, Film and Media Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies, and American Studies at Georgetown University will be speaking at UVA on November 16th and 17th. The lecture is sponsored by the Institute of Humanities & Global Cultures' Games Lab.

Their talk (4pm-6pm on the 16th in Wilson 142) is entitled “Video Games and the Pornography of Death." There will be a short reception after the talk. The IHGC Games Lab will also host a seminar to discuss Amanda's recent book Gamer Trouble: Feminist Confrontations in Digital Culture (12pm-2pm on the 17th in Wilson 142).
