Laura’s current research focuses on content moderation by volunteer moderators on social media. 

Laura is a master's student in the Media, Culture, and Technology program. Over many years as a software/web developer, she became interested in how users use software to communicate, connect, and create communities. To learn more, she has gone back to school, focusing on internet studies. She hopes to use what she learns to design and build tools to facilitate the study of computer-mediated communication and content moderation.
