Emilia Ruzicka

Emilia Ruzicka is a data journalist, designer, producer, and storyteller, who specializes in health, science, and technology reporting. At UVA, their research interests include digital ethics and accessibility, queer data analysis and communication, and postal issues and infrastructure. Ruzicka was a speaker at the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting in 2021 and 2023 and has produced work with a variety of newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and online media organizations. They received a BS in data journalism from Brown University, where they graduated with honors. Ruzicka continues to work on freelance projects and write their own blog alongside their studies.
