Sandy Hausman is the Charlottesville Bureau Chief for Virginia Public Radio – a network of public stations around the Commonwealth. She also occasionally contributes to NPR programs. She came to Virginia from Chicago, where she was news director for NBC's FM radio station, an afternoon anchor for the all-news station (WBBM), and a field producer for ABC TV. She ran her own production company for a decade, producing videos for the American Medical Association and other clients.
The goal of this workshop is to foster interdisciplinary collaborations within UVA and the Charlottesville community, cultivate a network of engaged advocates, empower diverse voices through storytelling, and ultimately work towards creating transformative solutions to gun violence.
As lunch will be served, please RSVP for the event using this link.
